North Country Gordon Setter Club is dedicated to promoting obedience and related performance events among its members.  Many members are very active in obedience training.

The June specialty includes an obedience trial with all levels of obedience from Novice to Utility and the ever popular Veterans class.  This specialty boasts one of the largest obedience entries at Gordon Setter specialties.
An AKC Canine Good Citizen Test has been offered to members at club meetings with the majority of the dogs passing the test each time.  Also, an agility workshop/playday has been held the last few years at a club meeting.  This gives the dogs and their owners a "paws-on" chance to try this very popular dog sport.
